The Easter nest 100% choco, to make with your family

A simple recipe, easy to realize, all in greediness, for the lovers of the chocolate.

A dessert to share with the family, from preparation to tasting. Introduce your children to baking, gently, with this easy but delicious cake.

To prepare this moist chocolate cake (for 6 people), you need :
40 g of flour
50 g of sugar
2 eggs
60 g of butter
70 g of dark chocolate
4 g/ 1 pinch of baking powder

For the ganache:

200 g of dark chocolate
130 g liquid cream (a little less if you use milk chocolate)

Preparation:

Melt the dark chocolate and butter in a double boiler
Meanwhile, beat eggs and sugar vigorously until mixture expands
Gradually add the flour and yeast while continuing to beat
Stir the melted chocolate into the mixture
Pour the mixture three quarters of the way up a savarin mould and bake for 25 - 30 minutes in a preheated oven at 180° C.
Tip: If you don't have a savarin pan, use a regular round pan and put a small bowl in the middle to shape the cake.

For the decoration :

Prepare a ganache by mixing melted chocolate and liquid cream brought to a boil.
Once the mixture is smooth and homogeneous, let it cool slightly before pouring it on the cake (also warm).
You can decorate your nest with a few hens or chocolate eggs and / or by filling the hollow with seasonal fruits or sweets.

Since the ganache can harden or tarnish in the refrigerator, the Easter nest is better if you make it the same day.

Good tasting and happy holidays.
