There's nothing like a good spicy sauce to enhance the taste of meat. Red or white, good meat deserves to be spiced up with the right spices. Pink berries seem to be just the thing to provide this little bonus. Less aggressive than pepper and more present than coarse salt, pink berries offer a whole new culinary experience as a meat sauce. Here's our recipe for serving up good meat every time!

Ingredients for a pink berry meat sauce

You have 6 guests for lunch. You want to present an original dish, so opt for a meat dish with a good sauce. Poultry or a good beef steak will do the trick. To play the originality card, accompany the dish with a sauce for meat with the delights of Pink Berries. You will need these few ingredients:

  • 30 g butter and 130 g fresh cream
  • 250 ml water and 1 beef bouillon cube
  • 1 tablespoon pink berries and ½ tablespoon yassa (a mixture of bay leaves, thyme, pepper, onion and ginger)
  • 1,5 cl of cognac
  • 2 tablespoons of cornstarch

Preparation of the pink berry sauce

Your sauce will be ready in only 10 minutes. To do this, prepare your famous side dish in a saucepan. First, heat the water and let the bouillon cube dissolve. Then add the butter. Then add the yassa, the pink berries and your fresh cream. Let infuse for 5 minutes on low heat. Pour the cognac last. To make the sauce thicker, add a little cornstarch, gradually. Turn up the intensity to medium heat to simmer the preparation.
