Turkey with honey and spices for Christmas

When Christmas comes, the desire to be with family and to be well surrounded comes naturally. It calls for loved ones to gather around a good meal and in a festive atmosphere. If it is customary to gather around a turkey concocted with love on Thanksgiving night, this does not prevent us from departing from the tradition. We can do it outside of November 22, such as on Christmas Eve for example.

All about the ingredients

The choice of the recipe is important, it will contribute to the pleasure shared with our close relations. Mothers or home cooks can prepare the famous turkey. The purchase of all the ingredients including honey, cinnamon and ginger can be done days in advance. Choose natural honey from  pink berries and raw spices. This will save you money while ensuring that you enjoy exceptional flavor. They keep for a long time without losing their scent and flavor depending on their packaging. You will also need the bare necessities like butter, salt, pepper and onion. Once you have these ingredients, you are ready to start preparing your recipe.

Preparing and cooking your turkey

Start by preheating the oven to 180 degrees Celsius. Then place the turkey in a dish that can withstand the heat of the oven.
Next, you need to take the butter and cut it into small pieces. The goal is to melt it quickly in a bowl that you will put in the microwave. After that, you will take the honey and add it to the mixture while adding the salt and  pepper. Don't forget to mix everything well.
Now it's time to top the turkey with the sauce you've simmered. Save a few spoonfuls for garnishing the dish after the turkey is done. But what about the onions? That's easy, peel and slice them and place them around your turkey. And now it's time to cook, so all you have to do is pop your turkey into the oven. Moisten your turkey regularly to give it the perfect flavor.
Decorate your table and dining room for the occasion. You can then be sure to engrave this warm moment for a long time in the minds of your family and guests.
