An association of beekeepers in the Haute-Garonne, Association "Natur Miel", distributes free seeds of melliferous plants, in this case clover. All you have to do is send a request to receive some and contribute to the preservation of pollinating insects.

Stop the extinction of wild bees

We talk about it everywhere, hoping to reach the maximum number of people. Indeed,  the disappearance of bees is a phenomenon that concerns us all. Threatened by pollution, but especially by pesticides, they need the awareness of all. But it does not stop there, we also hope that everyone acts.
While the phenomenon began long before that, the misadventure of Nicolas Puech, a beekeeper from Saint-Gaudens in the Haute-Garonne, was the trigger. The spreading of pesticide in a neighboring field cost him many of his hives and the death of two million bees.

Clover seeds in your mailbox

Hexagon was not the only one moved by this story. The Association "Natur Miel" has created a Leetchi kitty because of this. The 4,000 euros collected will be used to pay the trial scheduled for 2020. This allowed the association to buy 60 kg of clover seeds. We know that solitary pollinators are fond of this pollen. Natur Miel includes many organic beekeepers and Nicolas Puech is one of them. This initiative does not serve to fatten the bees called "house bees". The goal of this association is simply to save the wild bees. There are more than 1000 such species. Pollution has hit them so hard that we fear their disappearance soon. "Natur Miel" aims to distribute seeds to all those who want them. While beautifying your balcony or garden with squares of clover, you feed the wild bees.

How to get free clover seeds?

It's very simple, just send a stamped envelope with your address to "Natur Miel" association/Opération Graines de Trèfle, 508 route des Termes, 31800 Saux et Pomarède. She will receive all requests until March 17. The association's beekeepers will be dividing up their stock and should be shipping the seeds by the same date. There will be clovers of all colors... Next year, the association plans to start the action again, with the same objectives, but this time with alfalfa.
