The origin of our honeys
In the capital, Antananarivo, one can find eucalyptus honey with a refreshing and minty flavor.
Morondava, a coastal town in the west, is famous for its jujube honey, which has a sweet and slightly salty taste due to its proximity to the sea.
Manakara, on the east coast, is famous for its honey of litchi, niaouli or mokarana, with exotic and floral aromas.
Fort-Dauphin, in the Southeast, produces a pink berry honey with a strong and delicate flavor.
Finally, Tsiombé, in the south, is known for its sweet and sour cactus honey.
These honeys of Madagascar have each their gustatory and aromatic personality.
You will use them differently according to your needs, in cooking or as a natural remedy.
